Today i thought of changing my blog name and i named it as "Lazyyyy Lifeeeeee"
It also contains popular word. At present the tiltle aptly suites for me.

Elected as Alumni Affairs Secretary!!!

I elected as Alumni Affairs Secretary of krishna hostel.


I thank all my hostel friends for encouraging me to contest in the elections.

Some Information about Alumni Affairs Secretary:

The elected post of Alumni Affairs Secretary was introduced in the hostel council three years ago (2002) with the goal of improving alumni-student interaction.

For the past three years, the duties of an Alumni Affairs Secretary were limited to publishing a year book CD containing profiles of graduating students of his/her hostel, updating and maintaining the hostel websites, organizing the farewell night and inviting the alumni for hostel nights. For improving interaction with the alumni, the Alumni Affairs Secretaries need to do much more. To mark a beginning of greater student-alumni interaction, ADIEU-05, a farewell ceremony for graduating students, was jointly organized by the Alumni Association and the various hostel Alumni Secretaries. This event consisted of a panel discussion attended by alumni and students, followed by a grand dinner in the Open Air Theatre.

To plan the activities for this academic year, a meeting of all the Hostel Alumni Affairs Secretaries was held on September 2, 2005. This meeting was presided over by Prof. Kalyanaraman (Dean IC&SR), Prof. K N Satyanarayana (Advisor), Ms. Alamelu (IITMAA Joint Secretary) and Prasad Dudhgaonkar (Students General Secretary). In the meeting, a proposal to conduct Alumni Nights at the hostel level during the even semester came up. Some hostels are already actively pursuing this proposal. Another idea put forward was that of Hostel Alumni Affairs Secretaries acting as IITM ambassadors and accompanying the Alumnus during his/her visit to the institute.

Mentoring sessions by alumni for final year students was another idea that came up during the meeting. The mentoring sessions, which are currently restricted to the availability of alumni in Chennai, can be through panel discussions, career orientation workshops or extra mural lectures. In addition, an interactive online forum for alumni-student interaction is being planned. Doubts and questions from the students will be collected and posted here, to which the alumni can reply. This proposal needs the consent of the alumni. We hope it will be up and running soon.

Should there be 49.5% quota in IITs, IIMs?

The Mandal Commission formula of 27% reservation for Other Backward Classes in Central educational institutions and the IIMs and IITs is under the government's active consideration.

Although no decision has been taken on it yet, if the proposal is implemented is will take the overall reservation in central government-funded higher education institutions from the current 22.5% (for SC and ST students) to 49.5%.

The decision on this issue will be announced after the assembly polls in the five states.

Sabeer launches Blogeverywhere Toolbar

Hotmail founder Sabeer Bhatia has floated a new venture Blogeverywhere.com that enhances the speed and functionality of e-mail browsing and allows users to post their comments on any website in the world.

"In the last 10 years, there has been no significant development of technology in Hotmail. Since the last one year, we were thinking of how to increase its speed. The tool we have come up with adresses that problem," he said at a press conference.

Blogeverywhere is an Internet-based toolbar that makes the functionalities possible.

allergic reaction to a medication!

A true allergic reaction to medication occurs when the immune system is activated in response to a drug. The medication can be taken by mouth, injected into the body or rubbed on the skin. The symptoms from an allergic reaction vary from a mild skin rash to sudden swelling of many body parts with a life-threatening fall in blood pressure.

Most people with a drug allergy have been exposed to that drug or a similar drug before. During the earlier exposure, immune cells formed antibodies against the drug. Antibodies are proteins created by the immune system to battle foreign invaders such as bacteria and viruses. When a person is exposed to the drug again, the antibodies go into action, setting off the allergic response. The symptoms of drug allergy may happen immediately or after taking the drug for a week or more.

Health CheckUp

Yesterday i went to hospital as i was feeling sick. Dr. gave some medicines. Unfortunately those medicines gave reaction on my body. last night i could't sleep as my whole body got rashes and started burning and itching. last night was the most horrible night in my life . Morning i went to hospital Dr. gave me another set of tablets, still my body itching horribly , Dr. didn't gave me quick relief medicenes. Dr. also asked to take some tests(X-ray, blood test) and asked to meet General Surgeon tommorow. still some parts of my body burning like any thing.

GTC meeting!!

General Test committee(GTC) for me scheduled on 13th MARCH 2006. I need to prepare slides for that meeting and also prepare for that meeting.This is my first Annunal Review after coming to IIT. Still I have not started any research.
